DAF Introduction
Dissolved air flotation (DAF) is a water treatment process that clarifies wastewaters (or other waters) by theremoval of suspended matter such as oil or solids. The removal is achieved by dissolving air in the water orwastewater under pressure and then releasing the air at atmospheric pressure in a flotation tank basin. Thereleased air forms tiny bubbles which adhere to the suspended matter causing the suspended matter to float to thesurface of the water where it may then be removed by a skimming device.

Structure Features

·This unit uses our GFA dissolved air system with ingenious structure. lts efficiency of air dissolving can reachup to 90%. Compared with traditional dissolved air system, our new dissolved air system has about one-fifthvolume. What's more, it has strong anti-clogging capacity.
·Use new type of dissolved air releaser, high releasing degree, the average particle size of micro bubbles isabout 15-30um.
·Use chain-plate skimmer, stable operation and high efficiency of scraping.
Working Theory
The dissolved air water produced by GFA system is pumped into the air releaser by reducing the pressure. 15-30um micro bubbles from the air releaser would adhere to the suspended solids make them lighter than water, then the solids combined with micro bubbles can float onto the surface to form a scum layer that would be scrapped by the skimmer system into the sludge tank. The lower clean water flows into the clean water tank. At least 30% of the clean water is recycled for GFA system while other is discharged or pumped to next process.
Application
DAF System, as one waste water treatment process, it is widely used in sewage purification engineering. It can be used for these industries:
1. Paper industry -- pulp recycle in white water and clean water recycled for use.
2. Textile, printing and dyeing industry -- color chromaticity reduction and SS removal
3. Slaughterhouse and food industry
4. Petro-chemical industry -- oil-water separation
